Aries Cerat Prestige Line

Aries Cerat Protos Integrated Amplifier

Single Ended Single Stage?

The Ianus Protos integrated amplifier and its amplifier siblings in the Ianus range, uses TriodeFet technology, and it is based on it’s bigger brother, the Aperio.

Just like the amplifier based in,and contrary to the bigger Geminae model, the Protos is using the TriodeFet active element in a very different topology, as this is a Single Ended design It goes a step beyond to be the only integrated amplifier which is Single Stage as well. One stage from input to output posts.

Protos is now available for demonstration

Aries Cerat Incito preamplifier

The original Incito preamplifier has been developed for some time as a test machine, and had not made the transition to be consumer ready. Finally, the Incito preamplifier was launched.

We took a great Einstein’s quote, “Make everything as simple as possible, but not simpler”, and absorbed it in our current audio design mentality. Simple circuits always work and most important, sound much better. However, simple solutions can often be accompanied with shortcomings, and in audio, this can be in the form of questionable measuring performance.

This is not the case with the Incito preamplifier. The heart of the Incito preamplifier is a zero feedback power gain stage, which is consisted of a transformer-coupled super-triode, using the ultra high trans-conductance E280F (solely made by Siemens). This superb tube is loaded with a highest quality step down transformer.

Measuring data speaks for itself for this highest quality combination. Voltage swings of over 320V are an easy task for the power stage, and is stepped down to 80Vpp, while keeping transistor-like noise figures. Further, our step down transformer provides very low output resistance and more than adequate current to drive any load down to 250 ohms.

Incito is now available for demonstration.

Aries Cerat Helene DAC

The Heléne is a bit-perfect ladder DAC and uses NO data processing, upsampling or oversampling – all data is converted at their native sample rate and bit rate.

Taking technology we pioneered in the Kassandra Series, the converter banks are implemented around a matrix of eight R2R converters per channel, running in parallel. The two independent banks use eight R2R matrixes from the Analog Devices AD1865N-K in current mode.

These are driven by our custom logic that handles the syncronisation, data and work buses. Our Super Clock technology used in our bigger models is also standard in the Heléne DAC, negating the use and need of an external aftermarket Word Clock.

The USB input is double Reclocked, as are the digital S/PDIF and AES inputs using the internal Super Clocks of the converter. The digital input Reclocker is also bypassable on the fly.
